=/
I haven’t been on here in ages. My queue has kept me ‘active’, but hardly a participant. Man, I’ve been -so- damn busy. Here’s what you’ve missed:
- We’re down to less than 2 months until this deployment’s over! CHYEAH. And I have to throw in here this picture that he sent me because he looks effing amazing.

If that’s not motivation to keep working at this, I don’t know what is.
- I’ve applied to go back to school, and been accepted. I even got approved for 9,000 worth of grants! … Now I keep putting off filling out my enrollment papers. It’s like… I’m scared to commit or something. I don’t know. Ugh.
- I’m down to 82lbs, but I’ve lost the ‘tone’ I had when I weighed closer to 100. My dieting habits are back in the toilet, and as the kids grow (the youngest is now on two legs! Oye Vae!) I’m finding it harder to make time for fitness and it’s really frustrating. Not to mention…
- I’ve turned my passion for photography into an a small business. It’s already got me booked pretty steady for May. I’m not booking anything for June because who knows when Hubby’s homecoming will be. But I’m really proud of the work I’ve done so far. I’m anxious to build a larger portfolio, and that just adds one more time suck into the mix that takes priority over a fit lifestyle.
Did I mention mommy meetups, and playgroups, and therapy (Oh yeah, I’m in that now, too.) and just trying to have a cup of coffee in peace before the tots wake up? Yeah, all that and more. Eating my life.
How are you, tumble-folks?
Holy mother of FUCK as if I’m only just learning this?!?!!?!?!

Women’s Weight Training Myth #1 -Weight training makes you bulky and masculine.
“Due to the fact that women do not, and cannot, naturally produce as much testosterone (one of the main hormones responsible for increasing muscle size) as males do, it is impossible for a woman to gain huge amounts of muscle mass by merely touching some weights. Unfortunately, the image that may come to your mind is that of professional female bodybuilders. Most of these women, unfortunately, use anabolic steroids (synthetic testosterone) along with other drugs in order to achieve that high degree of muscularity. In addition, most also have good genetics coupled with an unbelievable work ethic that enable them to gain muscle quickly when they spend hours in the gym lifting very heavy weights. Believe me when I say that they do not look like that by accident. Women who conduct weight training without the use of steroids get the firm and fit cellulite-free looking body that you see in most fitness/figure shows these days.”
please and thank you
